Being persistently patient and not pushing it pays off! "Don't try to be a hero the medical personnel said"! When all is well, I lean towards being an impatient person, yet while I am working towards being well, I have been a particularly patient person. I hope I can hold on to this quality and not revert back!
Everything will be as it previously was, when the time is right. The time was right for getting behind the wheel again, the first time since May 23rd. It felt awkward getting in on the driver's side and even more awkward driving. On the other hand, it felt like freedom, it was liberating. As I drove off, I realized this was the biggest graduation day so far along this unchosen journey. Closed doors are now reopening and I am happily venturing on through, although at that persistently patient pace.
Short drives to natural areas where I could wander aimlessly brought much joy! On this morning, I strolled through the Birth Forest at Confluence Park then descended to where I could walk the trail along-side Nose Creek. For now, all my photos are iPhone photos. I do look forward to the day when I can handle the weight of my big camera.
Before descending, I stopped at the overlook location. No time for sitting though! The small purse with a few essentials is all the weight I can currently carry. Hold on to your horses when I am back to strapping on my big full backpack.

Wildflower season is on the tail end
so I made sure to savour what I did see!

Time came to ascend! Being persistently patient will get me
slowly but surely back to ascending with ease.

I have been embracing more deck time than I typically would during summer.
Those times are coming at various hours throughout the day and night.
My most recent watercolour painting is this hummingbird. I was inspired to paint it after glaring endlessly at the one in front of me while on my deck. This was my fourth attempt and yes it took being persistently patient to get me to a happy place with the outcome. It was portraying movement that was a challenge. I see success!

On this day, I motored to the Nose Hill Parking Lot with intentions of searching for the goats. They are back! It was also the perfect place to work on being persistently patient with getting my ascending endurance back, slowly yet surely.
High on a hill, tucked a way back there, is where the goats, horses, dogs and shepherds have made their temporary home for two weeks. With security features in place, this was as close as I could get. The goats were somewhere on the hill working. I will be persistently patient and venture back another day to find them.

Time to wrap this up!
Tomorrow will come quickly!
I have places to go, things to do, people to see!
