When I woke this morning, I quickly realized I did not turn on the fireplace for heat supply throughout the night. My cabin was quite cool yet I was snuggly warm in bed. I had to do it though, I had to get up and get the heat going. Once I was up, I was up to stay so donned cozy clothes then brewed a cup of coffee.
I still felt fulfilled from yesterday's hike when I carried a full backpack and used hiking poles for the entire distance. That was a great step in the right direction and a good workout for my upper body.
Eventually, I left my cabin and hit the 1A to see the morning sights.
The autumn colours were popping.
The colours called me so I found a few nice stops along the way to walk for awhile.
This is today's panorama!
I have to make a conscience effort to remember to take one.
This is that view as I see it and feel it!
It's the two bushes that stand out for me!
The water really was that colour!
Even though it was chilly here,
I felt the warmth of the sun
and the trees brought shelter from the wind!
A nice wrap up to a perfect start to getting back to normal! ❤️Norma
ReplyDeleteIt was nice to experience normal, I am chasing even more!
DeleteI love the way you have caught the light in that painting . I will be posting my Canada holiday very shortly from the year 2000. I’m sure we drove along that road too. B x
ReplyDeleteIt was so nice to read your Canada post and see the photos!
DeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteThe cabin looks cozy. I love the beautiful mountain views and the panorama! Your painting looks lovely too.
I am sure it feels nice to be hiking and enjoying the great outdoors. Have a great day and a happy week ahead.
That Cabin was so cozy! I would love to stay in it in winter but they close down in early October then open again in May.
DeleteYour slippers are SO CUTE! Love them. It's a wonderful time of year to walk in the woods. Great job capturing the view in watercolour.
ReplyDeleteI bought the slippers from a farmers market in Nova Scotia. They are a little big but they only had the one pair and I had to have them!
DeleteHiking and painting, You do it so well.
ReplyDeleteBoth are passions that bring joy!
