It’s just meant to be when the weather looks good, it’s a last minute idea and it just so happens that my little cabin in the woods is available on the nights I need it to be! It’s meant to be! After ten hours straight of sleeping, I woke refreshed, ready and raring to go, to go west, to Banff National Park. My hope was for blue sky with lots of bright cheerful autumn shades. I got exactly that the entire day along with much warmer temperatures than what was forecasted. I roamed around a few of my favourite locations such as Two Jack Lake, Lake Minnewanka, Cascade Ponds, along the Bow River and of course along Banff Avenue where I could make some investments.
These are a few of the sweet sights I saw!
I like the names of the streets in Banff and I like the markers even moreso.
Everywhere in Banff was busy. I knew it would be.
I mentally prepared myself for it and I did fine.
What a treat it was to find the Farmers Market in full swing at Centennial Park.
I found a larch tree!
I enjoyed a slow saunter along The Bow River!
Time came to check into my little cabin in the woods!
You saw a lot for one day. Banff is still busy at this time of year.
ReplyDeleteEverywhere I went was crazy busy with people. September is definitely not quiet season here.
DeleteThank you for giving me lots of happy memories. We visited in a camper van in the early 2000’s and had a wonderful time. B x
ReplyDeleteMakes me smile to know I opened your happy memory bank! There were loads of camper vans everywhere.
DeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteLooks like an awesome getaway. Beautiful scenery and lovely weather. The cabin is cute. Beautiful collection of photos. Take care, enjoy your day and the week ahead.
It felt like my stars aligned with the cabin being available and the weather to be perfect.
DeleteI enjoyed your recent blogs and this one as well. So much love your photos, and especially your art; "your people are awesome". The weather is cooperating for you; we are enjoying beautiful temperatures here in Nova Scotia; and I saw beautiful trees today as I drove to New Minas. Beautiful trees despite our lack of rain; that is such a gift. Take care, my friend.
ReplyDeleteThank You Mary for stopping by and leaving your comment! They are saying this is the driest September in history in Calgary and the weather remains unusually warm and no moisture in sight. I always loved the colours that Nova Scotia put on display getting into this time of year.
DeleteGood to see you out and about. The fall colors are gorgeous where you are.
ReplyDeleteIt's a positive boost to my spirit to be out there!
DeleteSuch beautiful views!
ReplyDeleteI see views like this year after year after year but every time I see them I appreciated them like I am seeing them for the first time.
DeleteA beautiful first day in the mountains! I have seen where people will make pencil rubbings of things like those street “signs”. That would be an interesting “sketch”. Love your little cabin..so cute. ❤️Norma
ReplyDeleteI have heard of pencil rubbings. That sign is very large, it would take a gigantic piece of paper and forever to do the rubbing!
DeleteYour opening photo captivated me. I'd love to stay in that cabin.
ReplyDeleteThat first photo is the tour boat going out along Lake Minnewanka!
