High School Friend Time, Halifax, Nova Scotia June 2023

We last shared time together in September of 2019 when she flew west to Calgary to stay with me for a week. We knew we would visit again, we just didn’t know where or when that would be.  I put a shout out to her that I would be in Nova Scotia in mid June and just like that, she jumped on board with a plan to make her way to city centre for a visit!  At the moment we met, just like that, we picked up and carried on from that September visit in 2019. We headed down hill to Halifax Harbour to begin our seven hours of time together.  It’s always so much fun hanging out with you!

I think their specialty may be Alexander Keiths ales!

Noon approached which meant it was time to dine!  We found a perfect spot with a window view to the water.  With Garrisons Tall Ship Ales in hand, we made our toast.

After lunch, we climbed up the hill and headed for the Public Gardens.  Along the way, the Harbour Hopper passed by heading down the hill to hop into the water. We strolled the Gardens, admiring the beauty and then settling in on a bench for awhile, all the while continuing on with catching up.

With lunch burned off by now, we found another place to settle in and that was a restaurant that served tea and pie.  When we realized a couple of hours had passed, we realized we should move on.  With renewed energy, we strolled and strolled and strolled seeing one outdoor dining location after another after another after another. I took photos of most of them, here are a few, all looking very inviting.

The time came, which happened to be seven hours later, to go our own ways, her to her home and mine to my home away from home.  We covered loads of distance and lots of topics of conversation, yet we still have more of both within us that will have to wait until our next visit!  Until then…..
