Pals is a medieval town located in the Catalonian province of Girona. It sits on a hill top a few kilometres inland from the Costa Brava and overlooks a pretty little beach town. The Gothic Quarter of the town has been restored and the narrow cobblestone streets pass by store fronts, cafes, archways and beautiful structures with unique windows and balconies.

It was this store where I purchased the pottery shown here holding some of the beach glass I collected. The pottery was made locally. I did not spend much time shopping during the three weeks, yet I wanted something that would be useful and was authentic, this piece of pottery fit the bill. I am not yet sure what it's purpose will be.

Pals was the first stop and after this it was time to head east to the sea!
