Calella de Palafrugell is another resort town on the Costa Brava in the province of Girona. It is on the smaller side compared to the other villages and it is also part of the Camino de Ronda coastal walk. There are a number of small picturesque coves, a few high end hotels and restaurants and a beach that stretches roughly two kilometres. The village is hilly, we walked down hill along narrow streets only to walk back up winding cobblestone streets then back down again and then up to the lighthouse and tower that overlook the village. We found a nice cafe beachside to enjoy a glass of wine before heading up the big hill we came day a couple of hours prior. This village was adorable, it was clean and colourful. Just like the other Costa Brava villages, I came away with many ideas of scenes to sketch or paint. It was now time to say goodbye to the Costa Brava and head back to our home away from home.
